24fps vs. 60fps on Blu-ray

Recommended Posts

Most 1080P TV's are not 120Hz. Older ones are mainly 60Hz and many newer ones are either still 60. The more expensive ones can be 100, 120, 200 or 240Hz.

My Viera has 400Hz & 24p native

My series 4 samsung has 1080:24p, looks sweet. Mine is a 50" plasma, maybe the range is different across the series

Is your TV's native resolution 1080p? If it is, then maybe there's more than one kind of Series 4 Sammy TV.

Ok, I've been doing some research on this and apparently what I'm experiencing is normal. 24fps is suposed to have motion blur in order to give the motion a more fluid and realistic effect. An example they give is to wave your hand in front of your face. When you wave your hand, you see the motion blur. So, 24fps seems to be the way to go. I'll be more than happy to post sources if nobody believes me.
