Age of Conan: 2 free weeks

Recommended Posts

As there have been a lot of improvements to Age of Conan since launch, there has never been a better time than now for former players to come back to Hyboria and check out these changes.

There is now a time-limited re-evaluation offer available that lets former players re-activate their accounts with no obligations and receive 2 weeks of additional free playtime. The re-evaluation offer will be available until 22/07/09.

So tell your friends to go and check out the page below for more details. Tell them Hyboria and you are waiting for their return.

I think I'm going to try it again just because I'm bored enough

Instead of a "re-evaluation" how about a, "We're sorry for the terrible overhyped MMO here is your money back."

Worst $49 I ever spent. I can't even sell the thing for $10, let alone give it away.

I played it during beta with some friends but decided not to buy it myself. They bought it, played it for a couple of weeks, then went straight back to WoW. :p

I know it. It's the happiest thing an MMO company has ever done for me. I can't stand paying $15 a month, especially if some months I just want to load it up once or twice. I'm still playing pretty steadily, but I'm not a hardcore MMO player. Still haven't gotten to level 50 in any MMOs...hell not sure I've even made level 40.

Now that I look at it, the changes to the game seem pretty decent. I may do this 2 week re-evaluation, if anything it'll give me something to do with spare time. :|

Wish me luck?

I got this email last night too, I remember playing when it was released and the patch day like everyday. I'm not sure I can get the game up to date before the trial expires :/

I got an Email about my Character for the free re-evaluation. The game was so bad that even for FREE I won't be trying it out. I would try it out however if they paid me back half the cost of the box copy I purchased.

Can't really find a list of new or improved features.. but I'm going to assume that they didn't fix the latency issue.

I bet that thread is still alive and kicking (English EU forums, check it out.).

What's the point in all these improvements if you can't even log in or when you do - you can't move. (I realize not everyone are affected by this, but it affects a lot of people..)

This game is EPIC FAIL.

They even hyped a 360 version......................more than a year has passed, no 360 version. They are doing what ever they can to reap the failed profit this game was suppose to make.

Age of Conan might not have been a huge success like World of Warcraft but it's far from an epic fail. The haters like to make it seem worse than it really is.

Was talking to some guildies in WoW last week, and one guy said he somehow was still able to get on through some sort of activation error on their part. He only managed to be on for an hour or so before he did get booted off, but from what I heard, it was unbearably laggy. Not sure whether they're using less hardware now or what, but he said "it was never this bad..." Couldn't really move around, as Inclined mentioned.

Hope you guys loading it up get a better experience out of it, but judging by what friends and others have told me, it's not even worth my time to try this. :/

Well I never had an issue with lag before... Even yesterday when I hopped on for a bit, I didn't have any problems.

I thought the first 20 levels were amazing but once the voice acting stopped and the story driven gameplay just seemed to end I kinda lost interest. Dunno how much they have added since then but once you leave Tortage it starts to feel unfinished.

I'll tell you what, I tried AoC about a month ago and they REALLY improved it since launch. First, when it launched I could hardly get 15fps, now I don't have that problem and I can get some pretty nice gfx going. Second, it's much smoother playing as well, both bug squashed and general streamlined stuff.

I'll give this a go to see the new area.
