0 Dick Montage
Use an ASP/ASP.net based one?
0 FunkTrooper
Is it without PHP or without MySQL that you're looking for? Presumably, you really mean without MySQL, in which case, you're in luck. Give SkyBlueCanvas a try (http://www.skybluecanvas.com/) Or, if you want something more lightweight and simple, try NanoCMS (http://nanocms.in/)

0 .:YodaGP:.
Cheers. I tried one but it just produced plain text so I assumed there was a problem with the server's ASP. I then tried a simple time-telling ASP script copied off another website and it would not work either. I have looked through the web package and it claims that it supports 'Chili!Soft.ASP', is this enough to run all sorts of ASP CMS packages? If so I should get on the phone to them tomorrow morning, right? (Find the package here under 'Premier': http://www.vikatec.com/hosting.htm) Thank you :) Edited July 9, 2009 by .:YodaGP:. They don't give out too much details do they? It's probably better to just ring them up. And ?99.99 with 500mb and no PHP/SQL? :oo

0 AnthonySterling
Just use SQLite as your RDBMS. The database is contained in a regular file on your allocated hosting space, of course, this owudl only be useful if you coded your own CMS or your chosen CMS uses PDO as it's DAL. 0 Miuku.
SQLite is however horrible when it comes to heavy load and lots of concurrent connections so I wouldn't suggest it for anyone who really wants to run a production quality site. Great for testing, not so much for real work.

It's probably better to just ring them up.And ?99.99 with 500mb and no PHP/SQL? :oo Not kidding, I'm pretty stingy but even I give 1GB for ?29.99 a year, with php, mysql and ruby on rails. Just use SQLite as your RDBMS.The database is contained in a regular file on your allocated hosting space, of course, this owudl only be useful if you coded your own CMS or your chosen CMS uses PDO as it's DAL. Not really as simple as that, some have it turned off by default, and needs to be turned on with a php.ini, but is a site that doesn't give php going to allow the use of php.ini files? Thought I'd link them in http://www.lightneasy.org/ http://www.lilcms.com/ A good cms using SQlite (or even text files) is light n easy, its really quite impressive. Also does the site allow the use of Perl? I'm sure I could knock up a very easy one using includes on editable text files. as with lillcms
0 .:YodaGP:.
OKAY! Sorry for disappearing. Got on the phone to the hosting company managed to cut off them now on a better deal. Have PHP4 installed on the server. I really need a SIMPLE CMS system. I have no idea or the patience, anymore, to get SQL working. I have tried numerous options so far to no avail. Can someone recommend one from personal experience rather than giving me a list of possibilities to try and fail to install correctly. Thank you very much. 0 evo_spook
http://www.lilcms.com/ the simpliest you could ever hope for Can someone recommend one from personal experience rather than giving me a list of possibilities to try and fail to install correctly. The actual answer to that is No, you're going to have to try them, every CMS offers something different and to find out which you like you're going to have to trial them yourself At the very least we need to know what you want it to do. Th best option is to go opensourcecms and play with the demos.
