Phantom Helix
Im trying to create a movie file from some Images i have, output format doesn't matter much but a "standard format" would be nice. I have tried using iPhoto but it hardly gives any options, especially concerning Image quality. Anyone know any good Apps with lots of options and complete quality control? It doesn't have a HUGE amount of control, but you can change resolutions and add powerpoint type transitions.

DirtyLarry Veteran Posted July 9, 2009 Veteran Share Posted July 9, 2009 What do you mean by "especially concerning image quality?" AFAIK, The image quality in iPhoto is all dependant on the original image quality itself. Meaning, I do believe there is an option to not have it compress the images on export. I will say my wife is the expert on this, she makes all of the movies with images for her family, etc., but the images always look good when she makes them, this is why I say this. Honestly iPhoto and/or iMovie is perfect for what you are asking.

I could not find the setting, and the export feature in iPhoto runs through a standard Quicktime output box and i tried several diff video formats but the images always looked like crap, the images used 1920x1080 and i used that for the video size but it still heavily compressed, i tired using a lossless codec and same thing, its on iPhoto's end and i dont know where lol. Picasa is cool i think that will work gonna go play now lol THX
