Quillz
Well, I was reading up on a Usenet-related topic in another forum here on Neowin, and I mentioned that Unison was a good Mac OS X Usenet client, which it is. But as it turns out, my ISP (Time Warner) discontinued Usenet access about a year ago, so I was thinking of signing up with a new service. I noticed that Panic themselves maintain their own Usenet access for $9.95/month, which seems pretty good, and quite a bit cheaper than some other providers. Does anyone use their access? Is it any good? I'm looking for a service that will more or less offer the same quality stuff that you can get with all the other providers. AltecXP
I just started trying Usenet this week and found Unison to be the best out of a few that I gave 20-30min test drives. I have not tried their Usenet though, I didn't know they provided access. I'm using GigaNews EDIT: looking at that price it's 10GB more a month then GN and i cna get a % off of Unison, looks like I'm moving.

It maybe me but paying for something that you can find for free in the internet is not worth the effort to be honest.

Anyway, I actually just found out that AstraWeb is offering service for $8/month, or $96/year, which is obviously a better deal, so I think I'll go with that. DWells55
Astraweb is excellent. I have the $11 month-to-month plan with 20 connections and SSL on ports 563 and 443. I managed to consistently max out a T3 line using it and have downloaded over 500GBs in a month with no problem.
