Where have you been kicked out of (with a CAMERA)?

It was like "you can't take pictures in here mate", "I'm not taking picture", "whats that for then", "I'm just loading the film, look the lens cap's on", "OK, don't take pictures"

The law on photography is generally a fairly murky area, but most dos and don'ts boil down to harassment and privacy laws - if somebody is in a public place and you are not harassing them (difficult to prove one way or the other), they're fair game. If it's a prohibited place (special distinction given to certain locations such as army bases, nuclear power plants, windsor castle) etc, then it is not fair game.

haha. this is a funny thread. I've never actually been thrown out of anywhere due to a camera. Hopefully I won't have to worry about that... Some people are very touchy about that. I like to take my camera to concerts and such, and hopefully won't have a problem with this. It seems that they normally only have a problem with cameras that look professional, but cheaper cameras are catching up to their specifications of what a professional camera is...

I managed to snap a pic of my parents using my cell phone when we were at a casino - didn't even get caught.

pizza hut.

Really? How did you manage that? There are always parties and stuff going on inside, so I'd have thought that pictures would be fine. Unless you are taking pics of their pizza in the kitchen, lol.

Factories, malls, theaters, subway stations and even once from a street.

In Britain it's not against the law to film or take pictures in a public place.

However some kozzers think they can stop people filming, when they should be encouraging it as it's their job to uphold the law.
