the big dill
Hello everybody! i have had my Logitech Z5500 speakers for a while, and have been enjoying them. But i have read long ago many times that i can get new wires to connect the speakers which gradually imporves the sound quality... now i don't know much about this, and thats why i need advice on what to get. thanks in advance! goji
Sound quality comes mainly from two sources: The integrity of your equipment The integrity of your source (audio files etc.) Wire preferences and arguments are for the rich. Upgrade your equipment to for the sake of audio fidelity (not mere hi-fi or HD audio :p)
the big dill
thanks for laying it out for me, was just trying to do minor improvement. :D but from my research, i found out that by just changing the input to optical already improves the sound quality! i know that the best way to go is sound card, but i want to save up and go big on that =? goji
Once again, wires do not inherently improve sound quality. If you are moving from a stereo to a optical connection, the sound quality doesn't improve; only a different audio codec is available for playback providing you have appropriate decoders etc. Your better off saving your money for better speakers, not necessarily an audio card as its the speakers that playback your music.
