Sethos
Hey, After purchasing GRID from Steam today ( Despite not liking it :| ) I felt like playing DiRT, which is an excellent game. Dug out the game, installed it, patched to 1.21 and loaded up the game. Menus and all work fine but when you are just about to enter the game after loading, the .exe reports a crash. I tried running as an administrator, compatibility mode and disabling various W7 features on the .exe ( Desktop composition etc. ) still nothing, even tried a cracked .exe! I have heard a few people running the game fine and others having problems, anyone have a similar problem or even better, a fix? Running W7 64Bit Build 7232. Minifig
Did you find the game in the steam directory and try changing the compatibility mode?
rajputwarrior
I just played it a couple of days ago using the x64 RC build, ran great. I just installed it, patched it and played. What video card you using?
Sethos
Did you find the game in the steam directory and try changing the compatibility mode? It's a non-steam version and yes, I did try changing compatibility on the source .exe I just played it a couple of days ago using the x64 RC build, ran great. I just installed it, patched it and played. What video card you using? I have a 4870X2 with the latest available W7 drivers.
