Comic Book Guy
I bought Two Worlds for the PC a few days ago, didn't really have much time to play at the time. I finished the short intro quest, and then I did the Moon Crystal quest. I found a horse on my way to Brumhill, but what the hell is with the controls when on horseback, your supposed to be able to attack enemies who are on foot when you're on horseback, yet I cannot draw my sword, plus the horse seems to go every which way but the way you want to go. Anyways, if you played Two Worlds, did you like it? Edited July 12, 2009 by Comic Book Guy

Slane
I got it on 360. Turn off Sound. Voice acting is ****ing horrible. Don't bother to fight on the horse as it's complete ****. Do a quick search on Two Worlds and you can find a guide/wiki to get ya some super awesome weapons real quick to make the game easier. Game beat Oblivion in almost every single way, but the graphics, voices acting, and just general presentation made the game teh suckage.

Udedenkz
About the same as Oblivion in terms of Enjoyment (don't buy Oblivion, it is a shalow kiddie hack and slash game where you are guided everywhere and it gets repetitive). It is like Diablo II except 3D. Voices are in old English but they do not show much emotion. As long as you patched the game, it is fully enjoyable for about 8 hours of hack and slash gameplay. I would give it a 3/5. Graphics: 3 / 5 Voice Acting: 3 / 5 Quests: 3 / 5 Fun: 4 / 5 BugFreeNess: 2 / 5 Animations: 2 / 5 Variety: 5 / 5 Monster Design: 3 / 5 Weapon Design: 4 / 5 AI: 1.5 / 5 Riding Things Around: 2 / 5 Engine: 4 / 5 (It honestly seems optimized) The quests are ok, but I don't like the fact that I need to find trainers for everything and the need to download some 3rd party physics engine. Oblivion was great....with the 5+ GB of mods to go with :p I do not like how you have no choice in how you conduct quests. Mass Effect did a real good job in that. Mass Effect did a real good job in that. Well with enough mods you can just make it into a sex simulator and up its worth. I think that Oblivion is fundamentally flawed and lacks the depth/immersion/quality of Bethesda's previous title - Morrowind (balancing out the fact that OB is newer...). I do not thing any number of mods can help to actually fix its shallowness. Anyway, back on topic, There are a few things more on Two Worlds, - The Environment is rather beautiful, it doesn't seem designed as much as to please as to be realistic. - Big Battles at little performance cost (although at a cost of good AI) - Fur effect - shader or animated texture? - not sure - but Two Worlds actually has Furr instead of a Bumpmapped texture like in FO3 or OB. - Old English, I don't know why people are criticizing the voice acting that much - I was impressed that everyone talked old style. - Although some monsters are rather badly design like the wolves, others look rather nice. - Partially dynamic system, you can encounter monsters that will kill you in one hit but find loot and buy weapons for your level. - The above is the downfall as well because if you don't master lockpicking, soon all the chests will be hard to pick... - You can't swim using some armors. Horse riding is annoying without training. Physics can be disappointing at times. - MultiPlayer is not worth your time. I am not sure why they even put it in there. - The world looks bigger than Oblivion.

Sorry, 19 hours without sleep here. Morrowind + 25% more land + Oblivion/Fallout 3 engine = Epic.
Comic Book Guy
Epic Edition is pre-patched to 1.7, which appears to be the last patch ever made for the game. There are voices in the wind saying there may be a Two Worlds 2, which fixes things and is a new story like with what happened to Fable. For those of you saying the voice acting was done in Old English is wrong, because if they were speaking in Old English we wouldn't be able to understand them because it's a different language. This is just modern English with accents to make it sound British.
LOC Veteran Posted July 13, 2009 Veteran Share Posted July 13, 2009 I liked Two Worlds for what I played of it. Same with Gothic 3, another horribly panned game. Sacred 2 is almost in the same boat, but it's not quite as badly reviewed as either of those games. And Two Worlds 2 was more or less announced last week CBG. They pretty much confirmed it won't be an "addon or expansion pack" for Two Worlds, and it'll be it's own game and a seperate story to the original...sounds like a sequel to me :)

Slane
"- The world looks bigger than Oblivion. "Yeah...looks.... It is bigger. It also has more depth in the world and more in the size of the map as content and **** goes compared to Oblivion. The bad presentation of the game, made it suck. Comic Book Guy
It is bigger. It also has more depth in the world and more in the size of the map as content and **** goes compared to Oblivion. The bad presentation of the game, made it suck. Certain mobs, specifically animals so far as I can tell, look fine from far away but when they get close and face you they get fat faces and bodies, actually it's quite similiar with the NPCs as well, and the horses seem to have a mind of their own. Not to mention, certain NPCs actually move their mouths when they talk, and others have mastered the art of speaking without moving their mouths! The graphics seem to get all screwed up when you enter the area of the first node. Hopefully with Two Worlds 2, they've learned their lesson and are going to make this one much better, and fix all the problems that the first one had!
