Howard Veteran Posted July 12, 2009 Veteran Share Posted July 12, 2009 I completed GTA IV ages ago, and I'm just returning to it now to get some more achievements. However I'm finding it difficult to raise cash to fund my expenses (mainly weapons). Now I've only got about $200 left. I have completed (as far as I know) all of the money making side missions (assassin, car collecting etc). I was reading about finding and blowing up a Securicar to raise about $20k, but I'll be damned if I'm to drive around all day trying to find one. I've spent literally an hour driving round the city trying to find one. There are many people claiming to know where and when they spawn, but it appears totally random to me. Is finding the Securicar my only real money maker, and if so, is there actually a pattern to their routes? I'd hope there is a better way :)
what
Once you've completed Stevie's delivery missions, you can take any vehicle back to his garage and get money for it. If you're not totally against cheating, you can sit there spawning a Comet and driving it in for loads of easy money. If you have Lost and Damned, you can do the turf wars for a lot of money, although they get seriously difficult beyond level 40.
Remysaus
Never had any moneytrouble in GTA, only thing you can spend money on is guns and I got those by just playing the missions, have about a million right now I think.

Guyro
cheers, so is it basically driving around the city and if we blow it up we get $20?
Howard Veteran Posted July 14, 2009 Author Veteran Share Posted July 14, 2009 I'm sure I read somewhere that is was $20,000. Although when I blew one up the other day, I only seemed to get around $2,000. Either way it drops a load of cash when it blows up. I found it best to just keep driving into oncoming traffic, it hardly slows down and saves wasting bullets/grenades.
what
You can get anywhere between $1000 and $10000 from them from my experience. But you also get a two star wanted level.

I drove to Stevie's garage but couldn't see how to get in, no doors open or opened? I've finished the game now - can you still get the garage to open up? Remysaus
"Sometimes found parked to the south of the cemetery under the Algonquin Bridge in Colony Island. The Securicar is most often found driven on the streets in industrial areas, like BOABO in Broker and the industrial zone of Dukes. " from the wiki page. If you have the right car (a message will appear on the bottom of the screen when you get in it), then the garage doors will automatically open. If they aren't, then one can only assume that you have the wrong car.
Pupik
Use a trainer. There's plenty of them around the Internet now. edit: Never mind. Just noticed the thread is in the console section and using cheats (not a trainer) will effect the achievements progress. So just do the side/ main missions.
