deactivated_
For the love. Just buy a Mac. Seriously. If you want the Mac OS that bad just get a Mac. Why screw around with all the crap? Well, I have a Dual G5 that I bought because I was tired of 'playing around' with OSX86 and just wanted it to work, so on one hand I agree with you. On the other hand, Snow Leopard dropping support for PPC processors has made me mess around with it again. And promptly give up again and just start setting aside the extra quarters for a new Intel Mac. It's just not worth the hassle to run a hacked OSX86 install, but it's hard to justify that extra $1000 just to 'properly' run Snow Leopard. So I see both sides of this debate for sure. Rottenraisin
I was just figuring $ spent + time spent. I understand where it might be a viable option.
Shaun N.
For some people its more of a mission to see if it can be done. For me its an easy cop out just to buy a Mac when I already have a laptop which is more than enough to run OSX. So I bought the software and was determined to get it working and 2 weeks of messing about it is.
Richard Hammond
I was just figuring $ spent + time spent. I understand where it might be a viable option. Because you dont HAVE to buy a whole new computer just to get OSX running on your computer, for a little cost you can pick up Snow Leopard plus any hardware that might not be compatible for a fraction of the cost of a brand new Mac. Screw around?! Nowadays it's as easy as 1-2-3 to install Max osx on pc hardware by using EFI emulation software. Off-course, you have to make sure that the hardware you are using is compatible with max osx, but that isn't really a problem :)

game_over
I've been an OSX86 fan for a while.. i was just interested in getting it working on a PC. People will always tell you.. OSX doesn't run as good on a PC... this is not true. Providing you have the correct hardware and can get a full working install then it works exactly the same as an actual mac. I eventually sold up and just bought the brand new iMac.. i can barely tell the difference. It runs like it did on my PC. If you don't think the cost of an iMac is feasible then OSX86 is definitely the way to go, just make sure you research the hardware because if you don't you WILL have problems. One thing i will say i do think it's much better having the iMac, apple just know how to please people.. it's a lovely bit of kit, combined with the wireless keyboard and mighty mouse i can't get enough of it.
