Ghostbusters Mouse Control?

Recommended Posts

Installed Ghostbusters, all excited to play it but the mouse is terrible! If I move slightly to the left it'll move but if I want to move a bit more to the left it'll start moving really fast and spin almost entirely around. Also moving the mouse vertically is sooooooooo slow, I've messed with the sensitivity setting to low and high but to no avail the mouse stays messed up like this. Also it is not my mouse as I've been playing a lot of games recently and it's worked fine in everyone, just seems to be this game.

Things I've also tried:

Changing mouse sensitivity in control panel

Using a controller (analog sticks act exactly like the mouse, move it a little and it's fine, but I mean you have to barely touch the thing otherwise it goes to fast)

Please help :(

Yeah, I played it for 5 minutes and got so frustrated with the mouse control I never played it again.

I stopped playing the game after the flooded hotel part and the fight on the road because I found it (the game) boring, and can't really remember any problems with the mouse controls.

The controls were good to me, and so is the graphics performance on everything maxed out on 1920x1080. Too bad the gameplay wasn't there.

Yeah, I stopped playing it because of this. Mouse speed is completely messed up. Vertical speed is vastly different from horizontal speed and it also feels like there's acceleration as well.

yeah I have No probs at all. Beat the game twice now. and actually thought the mouse was an improvement instead of a gamepad. :p I'm using Logitech MX 5500

I tried playing this with a keyboard & mouse, it's harder to do, I am still planning on getting an Xbox 360 controller for Windows, when I do I may take a look at GB again.

I guess the pc version is considered crap because it's a port, hence the cheap price, but I got no probs with it. Sure beats paying the stupid high console prices. Now i'm just waiting for the force unleashed. PC ftw!

It's not only that, the reason why it was cheaper ($30) than the console versions, was because the company who made it didn't want to, and still doesn't want to, give us DLC for it.

mine was a bit cheaper than that hehe, ?9.74 or $15.53, Can't say I'm really bothered about DLC though. Although Multiplayer might of been nice. Atleast you don't need the disc in to play, that was a bonus.

not played it, but sounds like a typical porting issue.

It's not a porting issue, that's the problem, the company said publicaly, that they didn't want to take the time or the money to include multiplayer or DLC for the PC. Their loss, because the lost a lot of money from PC gamers because of that stupid choice they made!

guess it depends on what type of mouse & settings you use, because I can control things just fine. It may be a port but it's a good game. I was expecting it run really bad like I do with most ports but was pleased that it works fine. There has been much worse ports (blacksite, gta4)

I also bought this game and have had difficulty with the mouse settings. It's very poorly implemented and has made me not play the game beyond the first mission.

To play the game properly, you're going to actually need to buy the Xbox 360 controller for Games for Windows Live.

which backs up what i was sayin. Apparently, stick to mouse control is one of the hardest things to achieve when porting from console to PC. someone confirm this please?

I see this time and time again with games these days, i ALWAYS end up ditching the game if the mouse controls are poor due to this.
