Yogi
Read this interesting article on who could succeed Steve Jobs, a nice list of people http://infotech.indiatimes.com/quickiearti...how/4780526.cms
KoL Veteran Posted July 20, 2009 Veteran Share Posted July 20, 2009 Yeah probably is going to be Tim Cook or Philip Schiller.
cabron
I will go with Tim Cook, he is actually the CEO in charge.
Quillz
Tim Cook makes the most sense, as he's already the COO and basically second-in-command.
Electric Jolt
Jonathan Ive should be the new CEO if Steve Jobs leaves. He does the great mac designs, that's the best part of Apple!
9UnknownMen
Tim Cook and not just cause he's an Auburn alum. :)
DrCheese
Jonathan Ive should be the new CEO if Steve Jobs leaves. He does the great mac designs, that's the best part of Apple! Which means he should stay as a designer and not go into business management. Making him CEO would a terrible decision.

Growled Member Posted July 27, 2009 Member Share Posted July 27, 2009 I think Tim Cook did an excellent job of running things while Jobs was out.
PyX
I don't think we should ask this question yet. Since Jobs is in good health and back and striking, I think it'll be a long time until he gets replaced. Things can move a lot in 5 years.

Xero
Like most here, Cook is the right choice. Ive has the El Jobso vision, but not the business mind. Let someone run the business end and let Ive run wild with his innovative designs. After everything he's done I don't think anyone would step on his toes other than Jobs himself. However, Cook does lack innovation. While under his control most advances were mediocre at best. Now don't get me wrong, none were terrible by any stretch. Jobs pushes everyone to their limits and gets results. Cook seems to keep the company afloat which is enough to make me and most stock holders happy.
