Recommended Posts

ok here r my start up scrips for neowin on mirc:

on 1:start: {

server irc.efnet.nl -j #altrock,#iphone,#mirc

server -m irc.osx86.hu -j #iphone

server -m irc.xsellize.com -j #xsellize

server -m irc.rizon.net -j #chatulous

server -m irc.freenode.net -j #wordpress

server -m irc.neowin.net -j #neowin mypassword

}

and when i connect it gives me this:

* Connecting to irc.neowin.net (6667)

-

-irc.neowin.net- *** Looking up your hostname...

-

-irc.neowin.net- *** You have not specified a password. Please use your Neowin password as the server password!

-

ERROR Closing link (madLyfe@XXX.XX.XXX.XXX)

-

* Disconnected

then it keeps retrying to connect..?

anyhelp?

try putting mypassword after irc.neowin.net and before -j, that would be logical, but I'm not 100% sure as I don't use mIRC.

server -m irc.neowin.net mypassword -j #neowin

/server [-emnsarpfocz] <server/groupname> [port] [password] [-i nick anick email name] [-jn #channel pass]

so it'd be

/server -m irc.neowin.net 6667 password

As, AFAIK, the neowin server auto-joins #neowin, you don't need the -j
