Reb0ot
Hi there, I am not sure how to resolve this one but a friend of mine had the following problem: Office 2004 was installed and used for a while. This was then replaced by Office 2008, installed and used for a while. Microsoft autoupdate came up and he updated it (sp2) but for some reason it didnt want to accept the key, so he called MS and they asked him to cancel the update and to rather reinstall office 2008 again. This messed up things for him, everytime he opens any of the office apps a message appears: "Your database is corrupted please run the database utility to repair it" And so I have done, it gets to set 4/5 and terminates itself with an error saying the database is corrupted and then crashes. The database is around 8.5GB in size. (in office 2008 - microsoft data / identities dir). I have tried solutions from the web such as: Deleting: com.microsoft.OfficeNotifications.plist com.microsoft.DatabaseDaemon.plist And a couple of other preferences files as well. Hope someone knows what to do in this occassion. :( Thanks in advanced
Reb0ot
Update: Fixed now. Properly removed office 2008 and all of its relevant office 2008 folders in system. Reinstalled office 2008 with sp1 And database seems to be OK now. :)
