fix-this!
i need to get my off brand multimedia keyboard "non apple" to work fully with leopard 10.5.7. yes this is a osx86 install but i cannot find a solution at all and nobody on insanleymac will answer my question. i have to assume some of you who have osx own non apple keyboards too? how do you get all of the keys to work? i tried remapping keys in system preferences with no luck. Rudy
I think logitech has drivers for most of their keyboard, I know my MS one has drivers for OSX
+KibosJ Subscriber² Posted July 27, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted July 27, 2009 You asked this question in the other OSx86 thread lol. The best you are going to get is with a Microsoft/Logitech keyboard. They seem to be the only real keyboards that work in OS X. I am using a cheap Microsoft Desktop 6000 and it works perfectly :)

Yeah I understand that :p I hate having to buy new things to make something work. Sometimes though, to get things working exactly how you want you need to buy new things (hence me selling my PC to build one that works with OSx86 hehe)

Maybe it's easier to buy a cheap 3rd party mac-compatible keyboard.
fix-this!
i went out and bought a microsoft multimedia keyboard for mac. i just loaded intellipont drivers for osx and it works like a charm, i can even configure keys now. such a shame more keyboards don't work fully with osx. im happy now as my system is complete. +KibosJ Subscriber² Posted July 29, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted July 29, 2009 I was quite surprised to find the intellipoint stuff work as well as it does on Mac :) It's great. I also like Microsoft keyboards, better than logicrap stuff :)
John S. Veteran Posted July 29, 2009 Veteran Share Posted July 29, 2009 I use an Adesso Intellimedia Pro, it's made for a Mac, I've never had to remap any keys.
