DigitalDiablo
I love Fear Factory, and I never really listened to any other industrial metal, until a local band made me want to hear more. Now I am having trouble finding some good, heavy, industrial metal. Anyone have some suggestions for bands?
ElectricDemon
hmm...my favourite Industrial Metal bend at the moment is 'Rammstein', their lyrics are in german, but they're the only band I've ever listened to and thought 'WOW'.

Fedr0
hmm...my favourite Industrial Metal bend at the moment is 'Rammstein' If you classify Rammstein as industrial you really don't have a clue of what industrial is. All of their more recent songs are commercial. :pinch: I agree for FF, got all their cds, plus, lemme include NiN's latest "And all that could have been" live cd, great stuff in there.
Schmoove
Yuk, that kind of music makes me wanna kill myself. I rather listen to something else. So no, can't help you.
DigitalDiablo
Ministry is great. I hang around a record store next to a little kids karate gym a lot. One day some kids and their parents wandered in while we were playing ministry, they asked us to change the music, so the guy that worked there put in some slayer and that chased em out. MikeYork
two of my fav. bands: marilyn and rammstein, you might like them if you're into industrial Fedr0:commercial doesn't really describe the music...although you may consider rammstein to be commercial (because they are popular or have made it mainstream or something) their style of music hasn't changed....well the style hasn't changed majorly. Fedr0
It does indeed. I'd like to put Fear Factory or Nine Inch Nails as example. Both are very famous, but none of them changed their style to follow the expectations of publishers. They maturated instead. Rammstein (and sadly many others) on the other side, completely changed their style from an album to another. Why? Because they went commercial, following directives put in by publishers to gain more cash. That's what I call commercial. So, even if I really like Rammstein's music (hell, I bought Mutter), I don't classify them as an Industrial Metal band, but as an enjoyable "alternative" band. Hope you get my point. :) EDIT: Forgot to mention that if you want to listen to some good industrial music, you really have to pay a visit to mp3.com Industrial Metal section. Loads of good stuff in there. Also, don't forget to check some good epic metal, with Amorphis being one of the best bands in there!
sanctified Veteran Posted May 21, 2003 Veteran Share Posted May 21, 2003 rammstein nowadays are heavy electronic, wich I dont like, ironically thr song that I most like by them is in their last album (Sonne)
MikeYork
ah righto, yeah i get what you mean now :) do you think tho that rammstein changed their music that much for the purpose of becoming more commercial? (and i agree, i wouldnt call them industrial) i guess the same thing could be happening with marilyn, i mean each of his albums are different, but there seems to be be more 'commercial' kinda songs on his latest, such as mobscene. i forgot to mention nin, really like them too btw saint dark - you and giga did a fantastic job with c10k, wd

FL!PNEUS
Nine Inch Nails is the best Industrial Metal I know, with Filter being a good second (not very surprising, since Filter's frontman used to be a guitarist for Nine Inch Nails). Other Industrial bands I like are Static-X, Pitchshifter (R.I.P.), Marilyn Manson (the new album is the ****!) and Orgy. What I also can recommend is Gothic Industrial, which is a bit more dance orientated. VNV Nation, Project Pitchfork, etc. All good stuff.

Icarus ^i^
I'm surprised that noone has mentioned Einst?rzende Neubauten...they were real industrial way before the whole MTV-scene with NIN, Rammstein etc came along and stole the concept and watered it down:))
