Preview Netflix SHOWS what you're WATCHING! FYI

Recommended Posts

FYI - The Xbox 360/Live Update for Netflix shows the Icon, Season and Episode of what you are currently watching to your friends and friends of friends if in a party with them or not.

I've not seen a way to turn this off. It shows up on Xbox.com and Xbox Live

Carefull what you watch I guess or feel your friends and families rath.

Also you can't clear you're resently watched history or search.

You got caught watching Hannah Montana? That is worst than getting caught watching porn. Damn.

He He He, no I didn't my daughter was watching it and I saw from my account they Netflix showed me what she was watching on her account.

I'm more worried about something like Super High Me and my family.

Umm, it asks you whether or not you want to turn that feature on the first time you load up netflix after the update. It also tells you how to turn it off, but I didn't actually read that before clicking Yes :p

So there is a way to turn it off, but you might have to search a bit.

yeah Spenser is right, you had to choose to turn it off or on when you first load up netflix, so there has to be an option somewhere afterwards

Crazy I didn't see that.

Actually it popped up another notification about it when I loaded it up anyways. Says you can change it in your Xbox Live profile.

Yup, first time you load it up you get an option to turn off showing what you're watching. I don't really care if people see what I watch, personally. No reason to be ashamed of your preferences :) I like some chick flicks. Get hell for it, but I don't care.

I don't really care, either, but maybe that's because I don't watch chick flicks unless I'm forced to. :p

Where? I've yet to find it. We have 2 different Xbox's and I've not seen the messages yet.

Nevermind I found it under Profile - Privacy Settings - Video Status

Thanks

This is actually a good thing. Sometimes I'll see a lot of my friends watching a video on netflix, and I'm wondering wth they're watching, but I don't want to bother them while they're watching something to ask them what it is. Honestly, there isn't much stuff on netflix to be "ashamed" of watching. People that are on your friends list may know you have kids, and if they know that, then hannah montana shouldn't be a surprise to them.

I'm sure I have. It never even crosses my mind to try to find a good one, though. If I ever start I'll have to change my privacy settings, too :)

I know some people think I'm trippin but check out what the government is really doing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqfuZ7hiap0 - WTF!

check this out about cars.gov - Cash for Junkers program!

I, kid you not if you use cars.gov the government has the legal right to access your computer and any files on it. This isn't a joke it's in the agreement you must agree to.

They say your computer is the property of the government and they have the right to access anything including Skype at anytime even after you stop using the site.

It's funny to watch Glenn Beck talk about something he doesn't understand.

I do think the privacy statement needs to be changed. I think its wording is unenforceable. Also, way off topic here.

As for Netflix, is there a way to turn that feature off on the website?
