What game properties would you love to see come back?

Recommended Posts

I was thinking about some game properties that I dearly miss, and wish they would make sequels of, so I figured I'd ask everyone what they would like to see.

For me I would love to see these:

Panzer Dragoon - What a great franchise. I loved all of these games. Saga was the best though, if Sega made a sequel to Saga I would just freak. LOL

Skies of Arcadia - I REALLY enjoyed this game. It might be the last RPG that I got that sucked into. It was really well done.

Those are the two I was really thinking about. I'm sure there were others that I would miss. I would love a GOOD flight sim game, but they seem to have gone out of fashion...

So, what would you like back?

Hmm good question.. I really miss the Midtown Madness series (Especially MM3), I know that sounds weird, but I passed more time playing that game on Live than most.

It was a great multiplayer game.

The original Naughty Dog/Sony Crash Bandicoot. Ever since Universal made it multi-platform and gave it to Konami and then to Sierra it sucked.

Red Faction. when it was first person, and had destructible everything.

after reading "5 Games to Throw Down a Black Hole (and 5 We?d Pull Out)" i remembered carmaggedon, one of the best driving and destruction games ever.

Battlezone

Tribes

I'm pretty sure neither will ever happen - Battlezone due to "who owns the IP I wonder" and Tribes.. Well because of Sierra.

+1. I didn't play MM on Xbox, but MM2 was one of my favourites on PC back in the day. Pity they didn't port MM3 to PC :/

:woot: I remember playing that at a friend's house, what, 7 years ago? And I loved it!! The destructible environment is totally FTW (Y)(Y)

ya, i loved that game the second i started playing it.

playing online while drilling massive tunnels in the walls was hilarious, other than the fact that there were so many cheaters.

also, +1 for battlezone, another game i loved, that mixed an RTS style with a FPS.

My friend showed me the remote detonation weapon. I then proceeded to attach the charges to the enemy, who started running away frantically in circles; then KABOOM!

They should also bring back Sacrifice, just remembered that game after reading Battlezone, basically the same gameplay.

Too bad it was hugely underrated and will probably never see a sequel.

Sonic - in 2D form

Yes, any decent 2D Sonic for consoles would be epic. Yes we've had Rush and the other DS one, but we need one that runs off sprites, not polygons.
