What game properties would you love to see come back?

Battletoads!

Future Cop: L.A.P.D.

That game was purchased together between myself and some neighborhood kids. We each took it home for a while and played the crap out of it. Not sure whatever happened to the disc, but that games was fun as hell. Would love to see it come alive again.

I rented that game enough to buy it...

Hell yeah I cant believe I sold that... Im getting it again!

Abe's Oddysee/Exodus - **** "Munch", these original two were amazing puzzlers. More of the same! Doesn't have to be bitched up in 3D, just keep it the same it was working!

James Pond :p

Parasite Eve (there is "The Third Birthday" coming soon but its a spin off, doesn't involve NMCs and is on PSP, so doesn't count)

Lotus Turbo Challenge series

Agreed. It's a real shame Nintendo blocked the XBLA version.

:o I didn't know that. That's such a shame. I loved Goldeneye. I wish they had been able to make the game for XBLA. I don't understand how Nintendo could block that though... Did they have some form of permanent exclusivity?

It's a bit confusing. The game was developed by Rare, which is now owned by Microsoft, but for some bizarre reason, the rights to Goldeneye are owned by Nintendo, which is weird, as Rare got the rights to Perfect Dark and Banjo Kazooie. Rare almost finished the XBLA version of the game (there was even a screenshot released), but Nintendo blocked it because they wanted more money. From what I heard, they were offered 40% of all sales, but they demanded 50%.

Wow, that's so strange... I wish they could have worked it out. That would have been great.

Reading through this thread there were some really good games listed. I actually thought of a few more. lol

Nights by Sega. This was a cool game, it came with a special controller which was HUGE, but made sense for the game. It was like Sonic, but flying. lol

Time Splitters by Eidos (I believe). This was really fun. It actually had much of a Goldeneye feel. It was very enjoyable.

Streets of Rage

Vectorman

Chaotix Enterprise LTD (for those who don't know Knuckles Chaotix for the Sega 32x was its own IP att)

Power Stone

Crazy Taxi

Twisted Metal

Golden Eye

Donkey Kong

Nights as mentioned previously but it did come back on the Wii, I just wish Yuji Naka was in charge of the project along with Sonic; Sonic and Nights don't work without Yuji Naka he's the best programmer Sega had)

Damn guys we had good games back in the day; I miss my nostalgia.

Yeah I'd like to see TimeSplitters :)

Someone mentioned Road Rash, I'd love to see that, too.

Man, so many great games. So much variety. Most of today's games are stale in comparison.

San Francisco Rush vs Crusin World. Those games were fun given their arcadish nature.

Oh, I loved Power Stone. The first one was better than the second one I thought though. But I would totally buy that if it came back...

I didn't know Nights came back on the Wii... Maybe there is some hope that it will show up on other consoles (XBox 360?). Yuji Naka is great too. LOL

We did have some good games, but they were creative and unique. Now it's mostly sequels of proven properties... *sigh*

3D glasses and synthesized motion sensing could change the usual axiom that games currently are. New technologies incorporate unique titles because if you change the landscape of how things are played (example: Joystick and Rumble Pack on the N64 Controller w/ Star Fox 64 hit a new paradigm in engagement and action, it almost felt like a Halo in a indirect way). It will encourage new game developers to do things their way and not play it safe which is what's happening right now; devs are relying on techniques that bring them money instead of just being creative.

Joe and Mac: Caveman Ninja

Kid Icarus

Crazy Taxi

Dark Chronicle/Cloud (can I call that, I mean, it's only been a few years since the last one)

Also, anyone in this thread clamouring for some 2D sonic love, you guys need to play Sonic Rush for the DS.
