xVISHUx
Hey guys, I usually use an S-Video cable to connect my laptops to my 50" Panasonic HD TV, however my new 13" Macbook Pro does not have an S-Video port (obviously). What connections/cables do I need to hook it up to my TV and watch videos on it? Thanks in advance.

bob_loblaw
You can connect using an HDMI-DVI to one of their MiniDVI-DVI adapters. Or does it have a MiniDisplay port instead? Check for an adapter for that too. However that won't give you audio so you need a audio out wire too.
giga Veteran Posted August 2, 2009 Veteran Share Posted August 2, 2009 Mini DisplayPort Adapters: http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepar...amp;cp_id=10428 For audio, you can use either analog (3.5mm to RCA) or optical.
PNWDweller
I am using the Mini Display Port Adapter which has the S-video and Composite output on it. I had to connect my computer to the 50" rear projection that I have here to use with Plex/Boxee when I dropped my cable TV. I ran into a major issue though... The TV was about 10 feet away from the computer, and I didn't have an S-video cable long enough. I took it to the Radio Shack (Adaptor), we came up with a solution which I can honestly say works surprisingly well, sans the text rendering, but know that is an inherent flaw with my TV. 25 foot coax cable Coax to RCA Connector (Found here) x 2 It isn't a pretty solution, but being on a tight income right now made it workable for the time being until sometime in the not so distant future I can get rid of the TV and exchange for a new HDTV with a smaller footprint. :D
