DrunknMunky Veteran Posted August 2, 2009 Veteran Share Posted August 2, 2009 I've watched the videos on YouTube and it looks pretty good to me. There was nothing wrong with CoD 3 years ago, actually I prefer old school CoD to MW and WaW. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rV3oRbo4Pjw.swf

ynnoj
Oh how I used to love RtCW online, I'll check this out for sure Yeah, RtCW was the **** online. If this is even remotely similar then I'll be checking it out.
REM2000
looks like ET, which was a great online game, looks a little spruced up, without playing about too much with the gameplay.

shaywood
I will be getting this purely based on the RtCW style of online play :D
DirtyLarry Veteran Posted August 2, 2009 Veteran Share Posted August 2, 2009 Do not feel like going through the pain of installing Himachi, etc., so will wait for the real deal, but the videos do look like classic Wolfenstein to me, which as I said in the other thread is what I was hoping for. DrunknMunky Veteran Posted August 2, 2009 Veteran Share Posted August 2, 2009 One thing that's disppointed me so far is the maps, they are pretty small and all in closed spaces. A far cry from the RTCW/W:ET days and even Quake Wars. It's no wonder there isn't a sniper/spy class anymore, you can't shoot across the map or have any use for a scope. And there is no more air strikes :( Sigh, tempted to install W:ET instead now and revisit nostalgia. @Timan, Fuel Depot? The one in the snowy mountains? That was my fav map
dead.cell
The first video looks like someone turned the graphics down a lot compared to the second one. Still looking forward to it. Some friends of mine I've known for years still have their server going. No bots either, and can get quite populated in the evenings. Just look for ABC Classic XPSave (28/45 on atm). :) Edited August 2, 2009 by dead.cell
