LOC Veteran Posted August 5, 2009 Veteran Share Posted August 5, 2009 Microsoft, if only because they put the 360 over the PC on every single port and the PC versions suffer horribly because of it. EA and Nintendo would be my other choices though. Especially Nintendo.

lalalawawawa
EA, you know why. :) And I am starting to dislike/hate the Activision part of Activision Blizzard. Although the Blizzard crew says that they have nothing in common, I think Activision, the money hungry monster, is having its effect on the development of games and services at Blizzard. And I do not like that effect.

qdave
Rockstar for what they did with Max Payne 3. i am sure that you played it and hated it. c'mon! You havent even seen in-game footage yet! As for publishers, i dont dislike any of them. EA had good games too.
Raa
EA definately. Ubisoft pretty close. Rockstar - very tempting. Thats all that comes to mind for now!
Tharp Daddy
Had to vote Rockstar on this one, i'm still convinced that they payed sites like IGN to give them a 10 on GTA IV - good game, yes, but worth of a 10? No.
Ji@nBing
Activision BY FAR!! They milk the living **** out of their franchises. We don't need a new CoD every year and 12 guitar hero every year. Also, Bobby Kotick is the biggest douche on the planet.

Ji@nBing
Madden 2099 anyone? EA isn't the only one who does that. 2k does too. It's just the nature of sports games to release a new one each year.
Sethos
EA, hands down. Every time EA is involved with either creating a game or simply publishing it, it turns to a patch fest with at least 10 expansions before the end of its cycle. Yes that is over-exaggerating but it's still close to the truth, especially with certain games. When they publish games it seems like they are forcing a very tight release dateline on the developers meaning the games are on time but always filled to the brim with stupid bugs, flaws and performance problems - It was really bad a few years ago with the PC games. Plus it also seems they have some sort of "expansion" rule in their publishing contracts with the developers, forcing them to work on expansions before the main game is even out the door, you barely get to play the original game before you have an expansion in stores. Gets worse when the title is popular because then they add expansion packs to the assembly line. Now they have joined the DLC bandwagon and they sure are riding that thing. A lot of the DLC tied to EA developed or published game is terrible and / or overpriced, like paying for cheats and unlocks, what the hell? They are really the frontrunners for milking 101, in every aspect. I know there are other companies doing something similar but EA is really the textbook case and they lost a lot of respect from me over the years, they are at the bottom of my "favourite developers" list. That's changing i think, exspecially since they have that new "little brother" like program, where they partner up with smaller studios (like valve), good luck being greedy after working with valve. Kalint
Yeah EA without question. They've dipped their hands into a lot of things and just produce as much as possible.

I don't think it is, although you may be right. I remember when EA used to buy games studios so certain games wouldn't get released, there was an even more violent game than Mortal Kombat that was supposed to come out, EA stepped in bought out the company so the game would never see the light of day. Vice
EA Games. All there games feel rushed and often lack content that they later deliver in an expansion to the original game. I don't buy or play EA produced games any more and I reluctantly buy games from other developers which have been published by EA.

deletedxyz
After what they did with the FIFA installments for the PC, I am VERY disappointed in them. I've been playing since FIFA 2000 and since 2007, they're all just FIFA 2007 with updated rosters.
