Chemaz
Defo gona have to try this out, havent bought a footy game in ages, but not sure whether to go pro evo or fifa? Played a tiny bit of the last editions and to me fifa just seemed to have slower game play compared to pro evo. I did love pro evo for the ps2 but a load of my mates that have had it for the ps3 (which is what iv got) said that cocked it up big time, and basically decided to make it for the 360 and ported it to the ps3. Which is making me lean to gettin fifa10 unless they radically improve pes Btw will this have automatic transfer update, as in when transfers happen in the real world, u can just click a button to update the teams or download a transfer pack (like with pes) or will u have to do it manually? Jimmy0
what time can we expect the demo today? The PSN store usually updates around 3/4/5/6 UK time, not sure about other platforms.

DrunknMunky Veteran Posted September 10, 2009 Author Veteran Share Posted September 10, 2009 Not really interested in the game, but I like checking out the progress of Fifa each year. I still remember playing '94 on my MD back in the day  Dling it now. (422 reviews already )
Martyn
Are we PC users still lumbered with the crappy old-gen version? :( Yup :(
Brad.
They've broken FIFA. It's like exactly the same, apart from dribbling and the camera angles for set pieces are worse than before, doesn't look as good graphically as '09 either. Pheee
Yeah gonna DL the demo also to see how its progressed. Yay can't wait to play the demo tomorrow, then I have Championship Manager 2010 to play on Friday, football weekend  (Oh yeah Scotland game tonight also, but our nation blows ass at Football) Did you buy Championship manager for ?2.51 then;))
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted September 10, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted September 10, 2009 Did you buy Championship manager for ?2.51 then;)) Yup:)) I'm sure I'll get my moneys worth out of that even if FM2010 is better.
Brad.
Okay maybe i was a bit harsh. Graphically it's not the same, but not an improvement either, passing is fair good, dribbling is still awkward. Through balls are now a lot more fluent (thank the lord) and shooting is more controlled. I'm shocked that this is being sold as a whole new game, but it's EA... DrunknMunky Veteran Posted September 10, 2009 Author Veteran Share Posted September 10, 2009 (edited) I had the same thoughts as you Brad, booted up the demo and I could have sworn I was playing '09 again. If it wasn't for the new splash screen with Rooney you'd never know. What exactly did they add/upgrade this year? @AB how did you get a game for ?2.51? LewisBraid
Man I really want this demo. How long until its downloadable on Silver?!
Mike
They probably upgraded some pointless graphics in game that you barely notice, that's about par for EA / FIFA :p Haven't played any of the FIFA games in a while, do the slide tackles still automatically go in the direction of the ball (as opposed to the direction your player is running)? red.
I had the same thoughts as you Brad, booted up the demo and I could have sworn I was playing '08 again. If it wasn't for the new splash screen with Rooney you'd never know. What exactly did they add/upgrade this year? @AB how did you get a game for ?2.51? You can get it for 1p (?2.50 transaction fee) on the Championship Manager website. As for FIFA changes, i kn ow they've added 360 degree movement, not sure about what else though. Still looks to be better than PES though.
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted September 10, 2009 Author Veteran Share Posted September 10, 2009 Oh ok. Not really my type of game, but that's a steal (Y) @digitalsoft, XBL Silver get demos a week later, so you should be able to download next Thursday. Or find a rip of the demo online and burn it to disc.
Vortex566
I know they have changed the movement in the game. I am sure it is now fully 360 degree movement unlike '09 which was just 8 way movement. I might be wrong but I am sure this is one new addition. Snakehn
i have not played nor even seen a fifa game since 2002, are the players still looking like puppets with their weird robot like moves when celebrating? LOL
WelshBluebird
Eugh. I can't get my 360 online till at least Monday, and even then I don't have Gold atm.
Brad.
Well I enjoyed a few games with a mate, the control is much better than '09 after you've played a few games you really notice it. The other changes to fifa 10 include being able to record and set your own player runs for corners and freekicks. But as far as I know you can't do this in the demo. Should be awesome though :)
DrCheese
The EA face thing in the full version seems cool :p tho I give it five minutes before we see players running around with backsides and other body parts for a head
