kintamanate
I just installed an application (anti virus software)..and when it asked me to reboot I did so. upon rebooting, i went to excecute the program. but it did nothing. i went to c: folder to remove it..to find that it is blank. absolutely no file or anything in the c: folder. also check the control panel. that is blank too! does anyone know how to get the stuff to show back? (all my other drives are fine. d,e,f,g.--able to see contents) i managed to remove the program then i rebooted again. still nothing shows in c: and control pannel. I am running winME. kintamanate
Thanks for the suggestion, KiwiNZ..but after last time I tried using it (computer froze in the restoring process and had to ultimitally reformat). Also Java does not work in internet explorer(ie. cant get into hotmail). :( oh well... [edit] Well, I think I fixed it. I figured what the hell. So what if I cant see C. The stuff aint gone, just invisible. Why not just reinstall IE.6 and go with that. Come to reboot. I find new windows media player icon on desktop. I open it. Play a movie. tada! works. I log into hotmail no problem.```Best of all--C: and control panle is visible again! Case Closed :D
