DrunknMunky Veteran Posted August 7, 2009 Veteran Share Posted August 7, 2009 (edited) August 7th, 2009 @ 07:29 By Patrick Garratt Blimey. Nelson?s confirmed that American 360 users can now buy Live content with PayPal. You can?t actually buy stuff through your 360, but you can associate your PayPal account with your Xbox.com account and do it that way. Hit the link for full details. No word on whether or not this is going to make it out of the US. http://www.vg247.com/2009/08/07/paypal-now...-live-accounts/ N(Y) (Y) Edit: MN's blog.. PayPal now available for US Xbox LIVE AccountsIf you are in the United States, you can now use PayPal as a method of payment for the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. You can use PayPal to buy Microsoft Points without having to associate your credit card information to your Xbox LIVE account. If you are new to PayPal, please sign up first and then follow the steps below to associate your account with Xbox LIVE. It?s pretty easy and just like adding a credit card to your account. Sign in to Xbox.com and head to the account summary page. From there choose ?Manage Payment Options? (from the left navigation menu) then click ?Add a new PayPal Account.? Follow the instructions and you?ll be set up in no time. A couple of things to point out: PayPal is currently supported for Xbox LIVE users in the U.S. only. PayPal can only be used to purchase Microsoft Points on Xbox.com. PayPal accounts are not available for purchasing Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360 console. You can associate multiple Pay Pal accounts with your Xbox LIVE account. http://majornelson.com/archive/2009/08/06/...e-accounts.aspx Edited August 7, 2009 by DrunknMunky
GameOverRob
So does this mean that you can buy items for exact money instead of purchasing points?
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted August 7, 2009 Author Veteran Share Posted August 7, 2009 No you still buy Points, but via PayPal. I'll update original post with MN's comments.
Brian M. Veteran Posted August 7, 2009 Veteran Share Posted August 7, 2009 I doubt it, as with PayPal's fees it wouldn't be worthwhile for Microsoft to allow people to pay for things ?1 or so at a time.
