Boot camp and apple bluetooth keyboard

Recommended Posts

The other day was the very first time i gave boot camp a go and installed windows 7, was fairly simple process but.....

the bluetooth keyboard and mouse worked without boot camp drivers, now when i installed the drivers, they stopped working and would not pair.

so i went back to the Generic drivers, and they paired but here is the deal....

on the keyboard, if i don't use it for like 5 seconds, it turns itself off and have to press a key and wait for it to come back like 10 seconds later. now that was a pain tonight because i have family overseas and was chatting in windows live messenger with webcam (because windows live messenger for mac doesn't support webcam) and the keyboard kept going to sleep if i didn't touch it LOL

and the mouse is working but also goes to sleep and i have to make one click every time for it to wake up, which it does immediately though.

anyway, has anybody come across this issue with the bluetooth keyboard ?

well i installed Vista and boot camp drivers and everything is working smooth, guess i'll have to wait for a boot camp update.

question.... boot camp installed video card drivers, and if i have a white background, i can see some kind of "grainy, rain" texture moving, if i roll back to basic drivers, that "detail" is gone but no good 3D acceleration then.

anybody know any of this?

The Boot Camp drivers are... crap. The Bluetooth/wireless keyboard issue (along with the trackpad not working at all in Windows) are commonly brought up, and Apple hasn't done a damn thing to fix them. Or have they?

In fact they have... with Snow Leopard. The new Boot Camp drivers in Snow Leopard seem to fix every major issue that plagued older Boot Camp releases.
