Local Co-op RPGs for 360/PS3

Recommended Posts

I have been looking for any non-Japanese RPGs that support local co-op. I'm pretty sure that for 360 the only one that qualifies is Fable 2 and even it has pathetic local co-op.. are there any other candidates that I should check out?

Two Worlds has eight player online co-op, I haven't played the co-op portion), also Sacred 2 has local, apparently. If you like bad games (bad on console), I'm pretty sure that Dark Messiah of Might and Magic has coop of some sort.

If you're not committed to excluding Japanese RPGs, Eternal Sonata supports three player co-op in battles (it's an action oriented battle system).

There's a website devoted to information about coop games: http://www.co-optimus.com/game.php

I can't access that site from work, so you should check it out for more authoritative info.

If you have a SEGA Saturn, buy Guardian Heroes. If you have a TG-16 or Wii, buy Dungeon Explorer. Those are my favorite coop RPGs of all time.

My wife picked up Sacred 2, and we play together, although I'm not a huge fan of it...and she keeps looting while I'm fricking killing :p

Ha, classic :) At least she's not shooting the food.

Which reminds me that Golden Axe, Gauntlet and Castle Crashers are on XBLA! Castle Crashers has a really nice persistent leveling system.
