soldier1st
you didnt pay so you got suspended, very simple to fix and that is to pay up or dont play xbox live.you could go to the bank and pull out how much it costs and pay it then you can play or ask a friend or family member for a loan to pay to play. They can most likely handle this better then any of us can.
Kanoxia
Maybe you just need an active credit card on file? I really cant help I have no experience with Xbox live
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted August 12, 2009 Veteran Share Posted August 12, 2009 You're best just calling up MS and asking what's happened. Explain you used a XBL redeem code and they'll sort it.
Sethos
Does sound weird, as Munky said, call Microsoft and sort it out - All we can do is speculate on what the problem is :)

Another reason for a billing suspension is you paid for a service or had a subscription that billed to your account and the charges were denied to your credit card. http://billing.microsoft.com Go fix it. Xerxes
Maybe you just need an active credit card on file? I really cant help I have no experience with Xbox live You don't and never ever add a credit card to your Xbox Live account, Xbox Live may be the best online experience bar none but the way MS handle credit cards is abysmal! you can't turn auto renew off (even when you ring up MS and ask them to turn it off and they say they did...) and you can't fully remove your credit card either..it's a nightmare (they should of done it the way Sony did with PSN, at least one thing Sony got right  ). Just ring up MS and tell them the situation, it's probably just a weird glitch and they should be able to fix it for you. EDIT: An example of what I mean. I had a credit card (well it is still there) linked to my account because I migrated my Xbox 1 Live account (probably not a good idea in hind sight) I've never used it. I got my gold subscription via prepaid cards and renewed via prepaid cards and did the same with topping up my MS Points. I even asked MS to make sure auto renew was turned off and they said it was. One day I decided to let my subscription slide and not renew it, instead of dropping to silver like it should have, it auto billed the credit card for another 12 months! (I got 12 month prepaid cards) well I can tell you I wasn't very happy and it was a long battle to get the card removed.....and even then they still didn't remove it fully *arg!* Edited August 13, 2009 by Xerxes
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted August 13, 2009 Veteran Share Posted August 13, 2009 ^ what a load of BS I've been able to remove my CC for god knows how long. And they added the feature to turn auto renew off this year.
Xerxes
^ what a load of BSI've been able to remove my CC for god knows how long. And they added the feature to turn auto renew off this year. EDIT: Well I stand corrected it seems they have added an option to remove the card on the website, however, that does not mean what I said was BS. That feature was not there a year ago and obviously the BS I had to go through was part of the reason that they added it. So it was correct but is now invalid because MS (finally) fixed it. EDIT2: Technically they "fixed" it in 2007/08, when they allowed you to remove your credit card by ringing them up and waiting 30 days and they'd add a "removed" flag to it but it would remain attached to your account (MS claimed for legal reasons) obviously they got more complaints. Obviously they changed it again this year with the simple remove button on the site...why they just didn't do that to begin with is beyond me. This isn't BS, the credit card is still listed as a payment option in my account but has (removed) next to it and everything I said is what I was required by MS to do, to "remove" the card. DirtyLarry Veteran Posted August 14, 2009 Veteran Share Posted August 14, 2009 Glad I read this thread, as I never knew you could delete your credit card on the site. I had an expired card I cancelled as my first card, and it caused issues when my Live was set to renew. Just finally deleted it.
