As Profits Rise, NCsoft Expects Aion To Be Second Place To WoW In US

Yes, they "ruined" it for the power players who want to show off their "phat lootz", but them making it "too casual-tard friendly" is also why its the best selling MMO of all time and why no one else can make a dent in their userbase.

This is marketing 101 folks, you cater to the MAJORITY and the majority of players are not people who have hours to set aside for raiding. Why do you think small casual games do so well? They are easy for people to pick up, play, and stop playing just as fast.

Yeah because my personal opinion needs to align with the rest of the majority

Stabbing people in the stomach is also a popular crime, I'm still against it.

it might sell enough units to be 2nd for a bit, but after a month or two will drop down to about 200k or less subs as people actually play the game for more then a weekend at a time.

Really? Your opinion or fact? If it sells enough to be "2nd for a bit", that bit is going to be longer than a month or two. I don't mean to come off sounding like a jackass but people always talk about these things like they know what's going to happen for a fact and none of us really do know. Maybe it will be the hottest selling video game/mmo ever? Maybe we'll all play it for 15 minutes and then realize we suddenly want to become artists that travel the world and paint landscapes? *shrug*
