Ji@nBing
There are sales charts for the US, sales charts for Japan, even sales charts for Britain and the PC, so why not for downloadable games on consoles? Why not indeed. So let's take a look. GamerBytes have posted the top 10-selling games for both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade for the month of July, with the PSN a single chart for the month, while the XBLA list is broken up into four weeks. And what do you know. Battlefield 1943 is dominating. LinkSeeing as TMNT '89 has been consistently in the top 10 for a looooong time now, I'm thinking the new one will be #1 when it charts. Could it *gasp* knock BF 1943 into 3rd?!?!?
what
Well, of course BF1943 is going to slip down the list. It's just so awesome that most of the people who want it have bought it already. Gaming activity is what really matters and you can see that BF1943 is only beaten in the full game list by the Big Five. I have no figures for it but it wouldn't surprise me if it ended up being more successful in terms of activity figures than Bad Company.

I want it, but I haven't got it yet because they only sell points in 1000 and 2000 denominations on live and I didn't feel like buying 2000 points for a 1200 game. Waiting for a few more games to come out that I want, then I'll buy one of those 4000 points cards and get them all together.

I said 'most' ;) I don't think the majority of players are going to be in the same situation as you. Most will just buy the game if they like it, there and then. Most likely, the only time 1943 will return to the top of the list is when either 1) a really **** Arcade game comes or 2) when it's on as the Deal of the Week. Until then I expect it will (slowly) drop down the list.
TDQuiksilver
I'm surprised the Top 3 for PSN didn't rank as follows: 1) Final Fantasty VII, 2) Fat Princess and 3) Shatter.
