{360} Fable II questions

Recommended Posts

Just picked up Fable 2 for ?15 from CEX, thought it was a decent price, along with a xbox media remote for ?5 LOL but anyway, ive got the 2 free DLC's (forget the names atm) but is there anything else i should download/get

Do any of the DLC packs come with extra achievments? if so do i get them with the free version or do i have to pay for the fuller versions.

Any handy tips while im playing, ive never played a Fable game before but ive played Fallout 3, ive heard they are the same kinda game

thanks

Just a small note, but the {360} tag isn't necessary, Fable 2 is exclusive :p

As for the DLC, you need the full versions for the achievements and items available in game. The free versions allow you to visit the place and co-op with a friend.

Just be aware that if you start a co-op game while the player is still in the child hood do not swap or gift money as it totally glitches up the earlier missions. Wait till you are a teenager or adult to swap out any items. I enjoyed the DLC extras, I just hope they add more at a later date.

Was it an offical MS media remote for ?5???

I've got a s***y fake one from ebay, and wouldn't mind buying an offical one sometime.

I've got an extra if you want one. It'd probably take a while to get from here to there, but it's hard to beat free.

Unimatrix Zero bud, I never really played much past the first few quests after you hit adulthood (to many games) and I bought the first DLC (not the second though, yet).

So if you wanna coop, lemme know.

Once you guys leave the childhood area if you want money in this game let me know. I still need the achievement for giving away money. I am sitting on so much cash right now its just insane. I make about 18k every few minutes for just sitting there. I recommend getting into the real estate market as soon as you have money. Start buying up and renting out homes as soon as you can afford them. Getting a part time job is nice but its now where near as rewarding as renting out houses. Eventually you will get to a point where the whole real estate operation will pay for itself. Keep in mind you earn cash for rent even when the game isnt on, last time I logged into fable I had almost 2 million in gold waiting on me.

I'm in some Inn in the 2nd town you come across (where the road/bridge is tolled or overrun with baddies) and it has a card guy in town and a bar with a bunch of little quests. That's about as far as I've gotten in the game so far.

Last time I logged in, which was probably 2 weeks after the last DLC came out, I had over 20 mil. Probably have double that by now if I were to log in to the game.

As was pointed out, start buying and renting out houses and buy the shops. Leave the game for a week and come back and you'll get all the gold that was due in rent all at once (and while you're in game, it pays every 5 minutes IIRC).

I think it maxes out though. No point in leaving it for a full week.

Note that the money that you are allocating to your family will also be automatically withdrawn, so make sure that your total payments to families is never less than your regular income from real estate, or you'll be bankrupt.

I have all the DLC and played through the whole thing, but never did any coop. We should hit it up, I can give money!

Turn on avatar bubbles in the menu and you'll see all of the online players who are in your immediate vicinity and you can hear those who are closest to you.

To lose weight you can eat a lot of celery, or you can buy the Knothole Island DLC and there is a shop that sells potions that will make you taller, shorter, fatter, or skinnier, but you don't get the morality point adjustment that you get from the celery that way (you do get the appearance bonus). Higher quality celery will cause you to lose more weight than the crappy stuff, so you'll want to buy it in a place with a good economy.

I believe that if you have the XBLA pub games, you can win an "Amazing Apple Pie" that will cause you to lose a lot of weight as well.
