Brian M. Veteran Posted August 17, 2009 Veteran Share Posted August 17, 2009 Hey, Since my 360 applied the latest update, it's been incredibly laggy/choppy, and I've experienced a noticable framerate drop on many games (for example, if I host a TF2 game, it looks like about 5 FPS at times). Haven't had any errors or anything - anybody else experienced similar issues at all? or is my console dying?
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted August 17, 2009 Veteran Share Posted August 17, 2009 Doesn't sound like a symptom of a dying console, usually if that happens you will have graphic artefacts on screen (purple/pink colour chequered pattern). TF2 isn't the best game to test on as the net code itself is terrible, does it happen in other games? What video cables are you using?
Unrealistic
Clear your 360 cache.
Brian M. Veteran Posted August 17, 2009 Author Veteran Share Posted August 17, 2009 I've tried clearing the cache, and it happens in most games. The only game I haven't noticed it on is Left 4 Dead. The Guitar Hero series seem to be the worst. I'm using a HDMI connection to a Sony AV Receiver, which is outputting to my TV at 720p.
