etempest
Looks cool. I hope NCSoft changes GW significantly and tries new things with GW2 instead of following the same GW1 formula. Not that the GW campaigns so far are bad - I love them - but it's getting a bit old. PvPvE sounds sweet. Graphics are somewhat disappointing from the trailer. Why do they think they must keep the requirements the same as Prophecies? Proph came out in '05; they can step it up a bit. Can't wait for some more info. I think they have, I'l almost bet you have one "central" world, and then add-on to it to expand vs the independent campaigns. They did say the GW 2 will be Direct X 9 & 10. I wouldn't doubt that at all, or like they have done with Guild Wars 1 they may just expand into areas previously unreachable (Eye of The North) And about the graphics, they haven't anywhere named near a release date, they haven't even said a year. So no doubt they have time to ramp up the graphics if they found them to be unsatisfactory.

+longgonebn Subscriber² Posted September 20, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted September 20, 2009 I could probably read this somewhere, but I am lazy to look. Does this continue any kind of story from the first game? I never really finished the first one.

Oh yeah, it's a total continuation of it. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Movement_of_the_World Am I the only one who thought the trailer was kind of a snore fest? .. I hope not. It's not so much that it was interesting, that the fact that this is THE first time they have shown the game, it had been vapor ware up till this trailer. Blackhearted
November 2nd, 2010 maybe? i know its subject to change. That date is far too late imo. It'd be in their best interest for that date to be wrong. As i don't think much of their previous player base will care anymore if it's that late. neudera
Looks absolutely amazing. As long as they make it more non-linear, and allow simple things like jumping, I think it'll be awesome.

Vice
What do you need jumping for in Guild Wars? It would be nice to jump. Especially when you want to get somewhere via a shortcut. It would also be nice to be able to swim in water and to finally have mounts.
