[Urgent] Macbook Pro Color Issues

Recommended Posts

Alright so I have 2 of (6) Macbook Pro laptops (mid-2007 w/ atix1600 gfx) Both identical, My problem is that both are exibiting a odd color issue, now I know color inversion is not enabled through Universal Access , I have already checked this issue. The problem started after I had imaged one to the other (with functioning bootcamp partitions) Now every other reboot the displays end up looking all messed up color wise. Refer to picture attachment . Now I am stumped as to what to do now. Never encountered this issue before. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Oh and both are on Granite table tops but are elevated to relieve any heat issues but are still infact really hot.

I have tried that actually thx for the tip, I should have mentioned that this occurs right from boot, even the apple logo is inverse when you first power on the machine, and continues to happen even when you boot into windows via bootcamp.

In new development these steps stop the color inversion but come back after another reboot

Boot into Mac OS, Change the startup disk to Bootcamp

Reboot to Windows in Bootcamp, Go to Bootcamp Prefs and reboot back into Mac OS,

Mac OS Boots with not color issues any longer

While in Mac OS, Re-Select Bootcamp and restart.

When the computer starts to reboot in Windows Bootcamp, the color issue is back.

New Development, Apparently resetting the PRAM/NVRAM, indicated here fixed the issue, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379.

A few reboots to confirm the issue fixed.

Hopefully this thread helps anyone else in the future. Thanks for the responses.
