WET

I dunno, I kinda liked the demo. But like it was mentioned above, it feels like you either have to be in perpetual jump mode or slide mode to have any shot at killing enemies without being killed quickly. I did enjoy the wall running and jumping stuff, and the sword play felt good (what little there was) but the camera killed it for me.

Also, with a thread titled "WET" you are almost certain to have tons of views on this one lol

Seriously? It bounces all over the place, especially when you are near trees or the walls of the map (which seemed to be quite frequent for my tastes).

i might have to play the demo again, i only notice anoying cameras when they cant be moved properly, or get in the way

now maybe this camera couldnt be moved manually very well and i just didnt notice because the game moved it well enough

i thought the level where you jump from vehicle to vehicle was fun, even had qte's that were not really annoying. can see the full game getting old fast though

dont know if it differs between ps3 and 360 but the "scrachy" grindhouse look was really badly done on ps3, HotD:overkill does it better and thats a wii title

The way I described this game to a friend was Stranglehold + Mirror's Edge + QTE sequences.

It's an ok demo, wouldn't purchase though.

Yeah wasn't a big fan of the demo, it's quite repetitive. Hit A, or slide, and then shoot. I didn't notice anything really new between levels.

Have to agree with the general consensus - the jump or slide and killing guys is fun the first few times but it gets old real quick and you pretty much have to be doing that to kill anyone quickly and efficiently.

The game looks really good and I like the style, but the gameplay just isn't there for me - I'll probably wait on a used copy down the road when I can pick it up for $20 or less.

Getting pretty bored of this game and I'm only in 2 or 3 levels and it's the same **** in each one. There's upgrades and different types of moves to buy, but they aren't exactly miles apart. Once you pull them off once they are instantly forgettable and just another move to add to the boring pile list.

Yep after playing the demo, the game is nothing special :( Was hugely dissapointed I was hoping from the trailer that the game would be something memorable.

I think this game's art direction would have been far more interesting if the entire thing was played in rage mode. The whole tv flicker thing has been done countless times, but the rage mode is pretty fresh. Kind of like a reverse Sin City style.

The challenges suck though, the targets are far too small for when you are trying to go as fast as you can through the course (N)

I think it's a fairly good game, the soundtrack is amazing and the style is a lot of fun. It's obviously trying to be like Quentin Tarantino movies. Especially Kill Bill and the Grindhouse movies.

It is very repetetive though - you tend to do similar things in each zone, and you are somewhat forced into performing slides and jumps in order to kill, and you're penalised for using your sword (Which is unfortunately very effective!). I do love Rage mode though. It looks and plays brilliantly.

I'd say it's above average, but it's nothing groundbreaking. Worth a buy because it's wel-priced in the UK. You tend to find it at ?29.99, where most new games retail for ?49.99.

i don't know if it's telling or not, but Blockbuster doesn't have this game. then again, they didn't bother getting Darkest of Days and Raven Squad either. Not sure if it's them or publishers avoiding the rental circuit.

It looks fantastic! I can'tr be arsed making an official topic or anything, too early in the morning. But from the trailers this game looks sweet!

Honestly, all I've seen of it is the horrible TV ads, of wich it seems they spent their whole budget since the game looks like a Wii game.

Certainly nothing more than an above average arcade title.

Average is being generous.

The game is crud.

Peer pressure, I upgraded my opinion of the graphics to above average because some people in this thread said it was great. so I figured, maybe they just showed only the really crap stuff in the tv ad... as much sense as that'd make.

The thing is you don't notice how bad it looks until you turn off the film flicker effect. Once you do...:x

I'm pretty bugged by the 6 sided gun barrels they keep "showing off" in the ad myself...

someone forgot to tell them you're supposed to hide low segmentation...

I've completely revised my opinion of this game. Hated the demo but, ever the optimist, I gave it a few more run throughs and it started to grow on me.

I've bought the full game and I'm loving it. It doesn't stand out in any one area but it is enjoyable once you get to the mechanics and has some excellent set pieces.

The game is fun, but its a rental. You have to atleast play through the first full chapter before making a decision, I must say the car chase levels are top notch when it comes to the quick time events.

It's a quick playthrough though, Unless you try to find all the collectibles you will be done in about 4 hours and while it does have some replay value, its not enough for my tastes
