spartan232323
I've had my new macbook pro 13.3'' for about 3 weeks now, but I haven't been using it that much until recently. I downloaded coconut battery, and i saw taht the total charge is now 95 %, which seems like a rather dramatic drop. Is this normal or do i have a defunct battery? ekw
its common for a power manager to not charge the battery to 100%, i don't know why but it prolongs battery life. (according to my thinkpad)
thefarewellnote
That is normal - don't worry about it. Also don't forget to calibrate your battery once a month. Instructions are here:http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1490
NienorGT
Heh? My MacBook battery show 98 or 99% and I have it since half Nov '08... I never calibrated it ^^; Will look into that. Worst, your battery should have a lifespan 3 times higher than mine.

I think it is perfectly normal use and you shouldn't be to concerned with it.
