NienorGT
I didn't saw any such pool on the subject yet (If I missed it, sorry), so I'm pretty curious on what mac Neowinian will do. Currently, Amazon's two first top sale places in software goes to OSX 10.6 witch seems a pretty sign of big success. I think this is due because the price is really low next to previous major releases like Leopard. For my part I'm still a bit unsure, not that 10.6 isn't appealing to me because I really want it, but this is my first major OSX update, so I don't know how it will goes in terms of stability for a OSX 10.x.0. I'm also thinking to update my Unibody MacBook to a MacBook Pro 13" in October or November, so it would be a bit of thrown away money I guess. What about you guys? (Edit: Few typos in the poll choices) Edited August 26, 2009 by NienorGT
+Frank B. Subscriber² Posted August 25, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted August 25, 2009 I'm definitely going to update as soon as I can get my hands on it. The local Apple reseller (there's no Apple Store in Frankfurt yet) told me they're hopeful to have it come Friday.
Si_
I already pre ordered through the up-to-date program, getting the OS for ?7 seemed silly not to. I'm just happy to squeeze some extra performance out of the machine now its been trimmed down. The gui enhancements are nice as well. I've been running the latest rumored RTM build and have been very happy so far.
PyX
Already preorered with my MacBook Pro 13" (I sold my MacBook Unibody for the new Pro 13", exactly like you want to do!) It was a great idea to optimize it a lot and dig hard into the code. As I usually say, if there was 100 things I didn't particularly like about OS X Leopard, there will be only 20 with Snow Leopard. Vice
I've already Pre-Ordered mine from Apple. I'll be updating my MacBook Pro I think it's really great value for money at ?25 for a single license. In the poll it asks what feature your most looking forward to but to be honest I like the entire thing every feature every improvement. There is not a single point of contention for me in the OS upgrade. Speed improvements, quicktime x, new expose, cocoa finder, 64-bit apps, smaller install times, faster shutdown and resuming from sleep. Pretty much every feature is an improvement that makes the value of it worth it to me. I felt the same way about Windows 7 over Windows Vista which is why I've also pre-ordered that.
