Too Human.. worth a play?

Recommended Posts

I saw that Too Human is on Goozex for really cheap, 300 points (around 10-15 dollars), and i was wondering if it was worth a play, all the reviews i have seen seemed mixed, some people loved it, some people hated it, has anyone placed this game? Is it worth a play? I need a good RPG and Too Human seems interesting.

I wouldn't, but that's me.

If anything, rent the game or borrow it from someone. When people are selling things for really cheap, there is usually a reason. I believe you can download a demo for it? But it isn't very fun.

I could think of a lot of things better to spend $10-$15 on, but again, that's just me.

Well it's not exactly 15 dollars, Goozex is a game trade-in site, i "sold" a few DS games, and i have 350 points sitting around, and Too Human is only 300.

Played the demo, and I could usually play hack n slash games without getting bored quick. But this game felt very unpolished, from the way the characters moved, the animation, etc. This is all judging from the demo, though, but I assume the demo was put together to convince people to buy the game... didn't work for me.

It's a fun entertaining game with good graphics and lore and quite a few hours of gameplay. and if you're into playing rpg's over with different characters and such, it's got replay value as well.

If you like action RPG's go for it, it's just good fun with lots of action, and a nice new combat system once you get used to it.

I really liked it. It definitely lacked polish, but i loved the melee controls, the loot system, and the norse/sci-fi mix.

My suggestion is to play the demo and if you enjoy the combat system, pick it up. Either people love it or they hate it and it usually stems from the controls.

Play the demo and you've pretty much seen everything you're going to see in the game. If you like it, then go ahead, but if not, I wouldn't worry about it so much.

At first it was pretty good for an Action-RPG, but there are many things that kept it from ever actually succeeding as a great title.

1. When you level up, the enemies level up as well which defeats the purpose of leveling up. Ammo will become a problem eventually.

2. Enemies Long-Range increases to a point where there are too many missiles preventing you from actually having hand-to-hand combat.

3. Enemies increase in numbers, increasing the difficulty even though you have ranked up.

4. Repeating environments make the game longer, but lacks proper quality.

5. Every time you die, you have to watch a stupid cut-scene that takes about 30 seconds, and as the game progresses you will die more and more. It is ****ing annoying.

I never finished the game, but I really tried to. For $10-$15 it may be worth it, but it is a shallow game.

I picked this up for ?5 from Game the other day, not bad for that price, admittedly I haven't unwrapped it yet as I also got guitar hero and forza 2 and lego batman around the same time : but from what I have read it's a good game if you want something a bit mindless and just rampaging :DD

1. No problem here unless you are looking for a complete handout.

2. Only if you suck can you not get into hand-to-hand or picked the wrong class if you want to do hand-to-hand.

3. Not a real issue to deal with and it's really not hard to deal with, especially when you start to get red items.

4. Ya it does.

5. That is annoying, but again you can avoid dying all together fairly easy.

The game is alot better than most people will ever give it credit for. It has faults, but it's not a bad game. Quite fun to be honest.
