BootCamp 3.0?

Does Snow Leopard include BootCamp 3.0?

No one at Apple has been able to confirm anything, not one at Technical Support, not the website or even the "Geniuses" at the stores. That's saddens me somewhat.

Anyway, does anyone know if the new OS will include BootCamp 3.0 and if so, what are the new features of BootCamp 3.0?

Snow Leopard will improve BootCamp with updated drivers and the ability to read (not write) the HFS+ partitioned that OSX is installed on (so you won't need a program like MacDrive).

Fantastic :-)

What are the new features of 3.0? I know it allows trackpad "tapping" (finally!) but what else?

The fact that it took until 3.0 for Apple to ship working drivers is almost inexcusable, really. But I suppose better later than never.

So, other than Boot Camp actually working as advertised now, the only really new thing is being able to see your Mac OS X installation. You can copy information FROM your Mac OS X partition to your Windows partition, but you can't copy information from your Windows partition TO your Mac OS X partition, as it's read-only.

1. Did they fix the ability to switch from 9600m GT to 9400m?

2. Has the battery life been improved?

3. Also, can the keyboard light be turned off manually?

4. Lastly, does the laptop still get super hot when running Windows Vista/7 compared to running on OS X.

Also wanting to know all of the above. I'm overseas atm and can't really pick up a copy (unless there's an Apple Store at LAX!). The heat is actually related to point (1).
