Save game problem, help lol.

Recommended Posts

Ok so i am totally confused about this and im hoping someone else has had this issue before so i can get some advice as to what to do.

So i have forza motorsport 2 for my 360 and i haven't touched it in a long time, probably 3-4 months and i do have a save game file on my hard drive. So i put the game in, got an xbox live update for the game and then after the update the game loads again. I get to the main screen and press "A" to start and i get an error message saying "Failed to create or load save file, the selected device is invalid". So what's going on?. I do not have this problem with any other game. I know that since i last played the game i have changed my gamertag, so im not sure if that has something to do with it or not.

Please, do not tell me that my save game is corrupted and i have to start over, because i probably wont lol.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks.

it wont work if you change your gamer tag , its sort of a drm/cheating thing. your gonna have to either use your old tag or start again.

First clear you cache and disconnect from live, then try to turn the machine on again. See if that works.

I don't think that should be an issue, if it is then I'll be surpised. Since lot of people had changed there gamertag and if there games didn't work there would've been lot of people ****ed at MS.

if thats the case then you could try and get a memory card and movng the save to the memory card and loading it from there.

Just an update, he isn't the only one having this problem. After google & binging found out there are others with the same problem going back in june of this year.

To me looks more like the updates faulty, but I have to check when I go home and load up my 360.
