Microsoft Investigating 'Very Small' Halo 3: ODST Leak

Recommended Posts

it just comes up on his XBOX 360 as playing a DVD... so Microsoft wont know and it's worked so far

That is definitely a load of anal-sneeze.

It will show up as a normal game but Microsoft doesn't have a massive team, dedicated to banning every possible leak. I've seen a couple of clowns have a ton of leaked game in their "last played" profiles despite them not being released for weeks - One even did so with Gears of War 2 ( which was released quite a bit in advance ) and he's still going strong.

You CAN avoid Microsoft's eye and they will NOT ban you on speculations but they will keep a very close eye on you, slip up with a bad copy, corrupted copy etc. and they are on to you.

You can take the console online, it's just Microsoft telling lies. I have a friend who does this for a second buisness like. He plays all downloaded games, offline and online. When he plays a downloaded game, which was leaked before official release, it just comes up on his XBOX 360 as playing a DVD... so Microsoft wont know and it's worked so far :p but again i rather buy games!

As I stated in another thread, in America, most retailers have not received the game yet. If suddenly on the day of the leak people with American ISP's are logging onto Xbox Live and playing ODST, it is quite obvious how they are able to.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out Orange. As for taking the console online after retail dates, sure, you are highly unlikely to be banned as millions of people will be playing it by then. Does your friend sell games? If so, he is absolute scum. We can all agree that casual piracy is widespread, but the *******s that sit around and make a profit are the ones that **** me off.

I have contacted Microsoft many a times when I see piraters on Craig's List selling burned games.

And Sethos: Anal-Sneeze? That is a horrible mental picture......****

I remember Halo 3 being leaked early a few years ago. A bunch of us on here managed to get it from Argos.

I remember the servers for multiplayer coming online on the saturday afternoon, and playing for the next 3 days with no more than 500people online worldwide. It was wonderful, completely lag free.... Then tuesday morning hit, and there was over 700,000 players on. And the annoying kids swept into the games. :(

Gotta love having an Argos less then a 3 minute bike ride away from my house. Good ****ing times right there.
