Hmm, I might pick up Fable II GOTY if it's on sale. I've still gotta try out the first one on the PC first.

Who decided that Gears 2 was worth any sort of Game of the Year tag? They totally ****ed up half the game, and then proceeded to rip people off by having them buy new maps that never appeared in the map rotation. And THEN they decide to charge everyone for a scene that they admitted was originally meant to be included but was removed later on.

Regardless of your personal feelings, the GOYT edition trend just includes every piece of DLC for the game, great for late adopters. Yea that people that purchase the DLC right away get ripped, but that's nothing new.

meh .... when i read the title i thought they are going to release Gear2/FableII for PC

but alas we can keep dreaming :(

Not sure why you'd think that, doesn't mention anything about the PC and both developers have said countless times they aren't porting either game.

Gears 2 DLC will be via a code and not on the disc, smart move by Micro$oft. Not sure about Fable 2.

Any news about Fallout 3 GOTY?

whoaa so pointless, nothing you can't have right now

i thought it was for pc too. my reasoning was as follows:

1. developers/publishers tend to go back on those sentiments when the hype is done, and the game's popularity has run its course, and they want to grab what money they can from the title-starved pc gamers now that the exclusivity is no longer lucrative. plus microsoft windows, microsoft xbox. halo for pc (eventually), gears of war for pc. it's not that much of a stretch.

2. doesn't say xbox in the title either. and while i know they're already xbox games, i also know they're already xbox games. as in already released. all that content is already out. what point is there in re-releasing it for xbox. must be the pc release otherwise it wouldn't be news. console games tend to eventually come out on pc as "special edition" which includes the extra dlc they made for the console version during the period between the console release and the pc relase (which is often a long time).

3. wishful thinking. no ****ing way i'm planning on ditching my keyboard and mouse, and superior hardware for a controller and console. :p

i know this response is unnecessary and overkill. but i haven't posted on neowin for a while :)

I was totally agreeing with you, and then you had to ruin the post with point 3

1: trouble is, hype hasn't died for Fable. Just read an article about Eurogamer that Fable 3 was the most popular game read about on their site over the Gamescom event. That's beating some of the big boys including GT5 and God of War 3 etc. Fable always has and always will be at home on the Xbox, there is no dying "hype". And to the guy at the top of the page, milking? Seriously? Wow 2 titles in the space of 4 years, that's really milking it

2: So because I didn't include the word "Xbox" in the topic title, it must mean something? Really? That's the best you could come up with? So If I go back and change the title now, all you have is reason #1 which has already fallen flat on it's face? Yikes..

3:  Uh huh. Except GoW controls better on the 360 controller. That's not just personal opinion. That's the overall consensus of gamers & media. Same goes for Fable.
