a little advice please.

Recommended Posts

So six months down the line i have hit a bit of a fork in the road with my 360. The first batteries have started to run out on me and im so close to Finishing Ridge Racer 6 so i got thinking again to ether...

A. Once finished sell the 360 as i would love the money right now.

B. Buy and change kit and keep it in the hope another game that interests me comes along

Just seeking a little advice here.

Well mine was also day 1 purchase and still working fine, but I also bought rechargeable batteries with that. Selling the console you have just because you batteries out don?t make any sense to me sorry.

My recommendations until you have enough money to buy the rechargeable pack use regular or recharge batteries (if you have those).

I don't think they have target in UK, well I actually don't know what's in uk since the last time I was there I was 5 . But since here in US it's $12 then in uk is should be half that (But since it's MS it might be twice that, since the whole EU is being d*** with win7).

Well if I were you for me it doesn?t make any sense to sell the console just because there aren?t any games left to play. I would wait for the next game; well that's what regular people do.

So, I would recommend option two. But in the end it's your decision, whatever you m(Y) (Y).

if of all games Ridge Racer 6 was the ONLY reason you got a 360, then yes, sell it to someone who'll enjoy it more and make better use of the money.

Ok...i originally got it for Halo 3 which i finished in 1 weekend and was going to send it back but then i ended up keeping it so for about 5 months it sat under my dreamcast unused till i got RR7 for the PS3 to kill time while i waited for GT5. Then i finished that so i got 6 for the 360 which i am now close to finishing. So i got to thinking why not sell it and then 3 or 5 years down the line buy another one on the cheap and play all the other games i missed...

You got it for Halo 3, but you're not interested in Halo 3:ODST? And you're waiting for GT5, but no interest in checking out Forza 3? I dunno, you shouldn't need to be convinced to keep something. If you don't like it and don't use it, sell it. I just personally think there are a ton of games worth keeping it for. Not to mention a lot of cross platform games are still better for 360 than PS3.

Could you name a few?

So you got a console for 1 game? Well, that does strike me as a little short sighted in terms of money sense, but there are plenty of games on the 360 that are worth getting. But from what I gather you also have a PS3, so what do you spend more time and money on, because in all honesty I think you should just ditch one and focus on the other.

Also with Forza 3, MW2 and a couple other titles coming out in the next year or so, it could be worth hanging on to it, but it really depends on what your into. I find the whole thing kind of puzzling anyway as I wouldn't buy a console for one game in the first place. Especially if you plan to sell it, then re-buy it in a few years and play all the games you missed...oh wait, the ones you could just keep the console and wait for? ;) save you more money in the long run doing that in honesty.

you seem convinced there's nothing worth playing on the 360, no need to change your mind. sell the console and hopefully someone more keen on enjoying it will be the next owner. however, at this point i wouldn't expect to get that much for a used 360, maybe $100 if you're lucky.
