Barney T. Author Administrators Share Posted September 1, 2009 Some of these images are way too big for any who want to see them. I have changed toe image to a click-able link. Please keep this in mind for future posts. From Desktop Posting Rules: If you plan to img-embed your desktop, please try to keep it under 100k (It's recommended that you link it, externally). thenext8seconds Share Posted September 1, 2009 (edited) what the hell barney, you realize that this forum automatically scales images down if they're too big... i thought the 100k limit was only if they're not externally hosted. i and many other people have been posting the same sized images for the past 4+ months in these threads and now you gonna just edit everyones photos out and now i gotta repost cuz no one's gonna click on links to see images d00d *edit* well nevermind, looks like i'm going to be uploading them to neowin's servers instead of photobucket because apparently neowin will actually resize the images inside the thread and you can still see the full size by clicking it... when you link them externally, neowin just scales the images (which keeps the sizes well over 100k) so what's the point of externally linking then MODS, please remove this if you would like.. If neowin would let me, I'd do it myself. Edited September 1, 2009 by thenext8seconds

jonhapimp Share Posted September 1, 2009 Can people please make sure you link to your wallpaper when posting your desktops. This will save a lot of time and bother. most people don't know where they got the image, or got them a long time ago, or downloaded it in a package, sorry we can't be in your perfect image world what the hell barney, you realize that this forum automatically scales images down if they're too big... i thought the 100k limit was only if they're not externally hosted.i and many other people have been posting the same sized images for the past 4+ months in these threads and now you gonna just edit everyones photos out and now i gotta repost cuz no one's gonna click on links to see images d00d *edit* well nevermind, looks like i'm going to be uploading them to neowin's servers instead of photobucket because apparently neowin will actually resize the images inside the thread and you can still see the full size by clicking it... when you link them externally, neowin just scales the images (which keeps the sizes well over 100k) so what's the point of externally linking then MODS, please remove this if you would like.. thenext8seconds Share Posted September 1, 2009 images that aren't thumbnailed take alot longer to load which i guess would hurt the 54k users, or i could be completely wrong well i always just assumed it was okay because when you link to an eternal image such ass from photobucket, as i have been in these last 4 threads, neowin automatically converts them to smaller thumbnails which you then could click on to see the big image. most people would like others to see full-size versions of their photos if they want to the problem was that i did not realize they were just being scaled, so it was still taking the same amount of time to load so i just realized there's totally no point to externally embed them. my bad. i'm still a neowin noob i guess

NienorGT Share Posted September 1, 2009 Awesome Batman Wall @Lord Nite, can you give the file name to Google in hope to find it? Yes, that's true, BUT THEY CAN ALWAYS F****** UPLOAD THEM for Christ's sake. And save the thread of unnecessary discussion. I swear to god, some people seem to get off at the fact that others will be begging for their wallpapers.Redistribution isn't always allowed by authors, and in the case of not knowing the source, it is better to no redistribute it.I know this is annoying, but it can't be helped for the shake of the authors. You should complain to the mods if you think they should more regulate this, but I swear to god, I don't need over-sized red text in top of the unnecessary discussion... :/
