Snow Leopard Sluggish

Recommended Posts

I feel like when im doing anything, even opening new tabs in safari, and exiting wow, playing wow full or windowed, and other apps just all seem to run more sluggish and eat more resources in snow leopard then in 10.5 ?! Why?!

Did you do a clean install or upgrade?

Ugh. I upgraded, this was my first OS change as a mac User of 1 year. So, its the same as windows? Better to clean install? Cuz Finder crashes too and has to relaunch occasionally as well.

Do a clean install. Put the SL disc in, then reboot. Hold down the option key (alt) during the bootup and boot up from the SL disc when the option comes up. Once in you can access Disk Utility (from the menu bar at the top) and format your HD then you can do a clean install. If you get stuck just go to YouTube and search for Clean Install of Snow Leopard or Snow Leopard Clean Install as that's where I found out how to do it.

I probably shouldn't have to say this but make sure you back up anything you deem necessary first.

I upgraded some mins ago and it was a little slow but it was because Spotlight was indexing. Check that.
