TextEdit icon.... did you know?

Recommended Posts

So, I was browsing Wikipedia today and I noticed something kinda cool. In the article for Apple's Think Different campaign, they mention that the icon for the TextEdit application (when zoomed in close) actually has the written text for the famous commercial with the Richard Dreyfuss voice-over.

Ya I knew about this. It was one of the staples of the Leopard release 512x512 icons. It was a big deal a few years back when everyone was talking about resolution independence and monitors with super-high Dots Per Inch (Which haven't really showed up yet).

Yeah, I am personally more of a fan of list view. I get stuck for hours just looking at random articles on Wikipedia, I ran across this earlier and thought it was rather cool that they put the exact text in there.

Question is, who's Kate????
