Projects
I recently bought a deal where I got an extra wire guitar for world tour and the bundle pack as well for a good price. One my family and I started playing it we noticed that the star power would automatically go off with us lifting up the guitars or even hitting the star power button. So I was thinking that this was some new option that it automatically goes off for you but then i started to realize that it wasn't the problem. I went to the options to see if anything was different but nothing and I even ran through the tutiorals and it said to lift up your guitar to start it. But that didn't seem to be the case, so I'm wondering if I need to go activision and ask them whats up it could possibly well be my guitars or does anyone else have some advise? Thanks! Raktael
I'm afraid I have no idea, I know sometimes the star power can be a bit hit and miss when you lift a guitar as in sometimes not a lot, and sometimes all the way for it to work lol. But I've never heard of your issue before, i'd find it handy sometimes though ;)
MR_Candyman
I'm willing to bet you're holding the neck of the guitar at an upward angle. Some guitars don't take a big angle to set it off. Also be sure you're not resting your hand on the back button while you play. That's what my gf's brother does all the time
Ferret
As candyman says - Becareful how you tilt the guitar, it can set it off... I have a habbit of holding the neck almost completely in the air, which ALWAYS sets it off.
Projects
I know for sure I wasn't holding it up real high but they could be really sensitive like you guys said. I don't have the guitars with me i accidentally left them at home but I will have to make sure I'm not doing those two things and if its still happening I will just go and try metallica or GH3 and see if that has any different output otherwise I will just give activision a call. Thanks for the help!
MR_Candyman
might want to hold it how you normally would then look in a mirror. Some people's depth perception tells them it's level when it's clearly not.

Its probably the way you are holding the guitar. If you hold the guitar with proper technique while sitting down the inner groove on the bottom of the guitar is supposed to rest on your leg. Making the guitar be horizontal. If you arent holding it like this then chances are yes the star power is going to go off once you get the meter full enough to use it. Projects
Yes I've noticed that using one of my older guitars that I have up in my dorm room, for me it just feels better if the neck of the guitar is up a little higher rather than just straight horizontal. I assume that would be the case for the newer world tour guitars if they are more sensitive. Thanks for all your help! ^_^
