the1himself
Hey guys, basically I'm looking for software that will help me keep track of all the clients that come to my gym. More specifically though, software that allows "dark scanners" to work (you know, the scanners that scan the bar codes etc for gym passes etc.). At, the Apple store, the cust. rep. recommended Bento 2 (which looks decent) but I forgot to mention to him that I wanted the dark scanner option as well. Will Bento work? Thanks...anyone who helps! sw1tch..
Once I did an SBS 2003 install in a GYM and they had some software called Clubware. It has an SQL database back end which I needed to migrate to the SBS server. On their front counter they had a scanner which their member would scan their tag at when arriving at the gym. Once the tag was a scanned it would register in the system etc etc Their webiste is http://www.clubware.co.nz/ and might be worth a look.
the1himself
That's awesome feedback! It's too bad the site doesn't indicate whether it's compatible with OS X
sw1tch..
No problems at all :) I am resonably sure its a Windows only program.
divinatum
After a quick Google search, it does appear Bento2 supports USB barcode scanners. However, there's a free Trial of Bento you can download here to give it a try and see if it meets your needs. Bento Trial
