bleuwave
Under windows the addressable memory limit for 32 bit systems is 3.2GB Whats the addressable memory limit for 32 bit leopard running on hp mini 110 series?
MrFuji
Shouldn't that basically be the same and not dependant on the OS used? Not entirely sure but I guess it behaves that way :)
Ricardo Gil
Under 32 bit OS X can handle much more than 4GB of RAM, unlike Windows. But I'm not sure why you ask this, since to my knowledge the Atom controller only handles up to 2GB, so the issue here is really with the hardware. The_Decryptor Veteran Posted September 11, 2009 Veteran Share Posted September 11, 2009 It would depend on how it handles the memory, but if it treats it as one large block with one address for each spot, it'll have the same 4GB limit as any other OS that manages it the same way (the 4GB limit is due to only using 32bits for addressing) If it manages it as different blocks of 32bits, it might be 4GB per 32bit app, etc.
ThehAWKs
Leopard can see more then 4GB of Memory the limit only comes from how much of that Memory the OS or Any App on Leopard can use, so if you are using an application that can not use no more then 3.5GB that is were the limit is.
